Jeweler stands test of time

Jones Jewelry

Timelessness takes precedence at Jones Jewelry on the Iola square.
The shop, at 5 N. Jefferson, offers wedding sets, diamond necklaces, men’s watches and more.
Owner Jo Ann Butler purchased the shop in 1999, and has worked there a total of 42 years.
Her experience gives her a keen eye for quality.
Contemporary settings with traditional looks prevail.
Wedding sets in white and yellow gold sport diamonds for both genders, as well as plain bands for men.
“They prefer that here” since so many men work jobs that make jewelry-wearing difficult, Butler said of the simpler style.
For that night on the town, though, Butler offers Bulova and Citizen dress watches and cufflinks of various metals.
There are even cufflink and wrist cuff sets of materials such as twisted steel, stainless steel and ridged rubber — looking rugged and durable as the men they are meant for.
For the ladies, diamond “journey” and three-stone “past, present and future” pendants are meant to celebrate wedding anniversaries.
Sterling silver angels, crosses and colored stone solitaires can be for any occasion.
Jones also offers diamond promise rings.
There are even a few whimsical items; colorful flexible rubber pendants with Christian themes, coral bracelets and a dragonfly brooch/pendant are among them.
Numerous charms, in silver and gold, can be had for charm bracelets as well.
Jones’ also features ear bling. Diamond solitaires, hoops, colored stone and Victorian-look pearl and white gold drop earrings are all available.
Everyday rings featuring tri-tone Black Hills gold, 14K gold, sterling silver and colored stones — both real gems and cubic zirconia — all grace display cases at Jones’.
For guys, studded black leather wrist cuffs, picture-fronted Zippo lighters, chunky key rings and ID bracelets can be found. Tie tacks and tie chains hold that accessory in place, while offering a classic touch.
To round out the offerings, Jones Jewelry has picture frames, photo albums, baby spoons and jewelry boxes to house your new collection.
